About The Author

As a result of her clinical work, research and consultation, Dr. Fischer realized the public's need for relaxation training and guided imagery to re-capture their natural ability to sleep.

Karen Fischer earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology over 20 years ago and became a Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania. Dr. Fischer has been an adjunct professor with Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and Biofeedback Society of American and holds Pennsylvania Certification as a School Psychologist. She worked in a variety of clinical settings before building a full-time private practice working with adults, children and families. As part of her private practice, Dr. Fischer helped clients manage anxiety and change negative habits through the use of relaxation training and guided imagery. In her sessions, Dr. Fischer often recorded relaxation training and guided imagery exercises that clients took home with them in order to gain proficiency.

Karen Fischer also has over 20 years experience traveling throughout the United States conducting qualitative market research for Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries. In her research, Dr. Fischer has interviewed thousands of consumers, learning about their lives. Throughout the past decade, Karen has routinely heard consumers describe difficulty putting the brakes on their fast-paced lives – resulting in interrupted sleep. Sleeping difficulties – in combination with concerns about our over-medicated society – has led Dr. Fischer to respond by offering a set of CD's to help people re-learn their ability to sleep well naturally.
